What is SpinalSync?

SpinalSync is the computer-guided mobilisation system at the centre of how we assess and treat the spine in Sanur. Here is what it is, where the idea comes from, and how a treatment with it works.

A different way to work on the spine

SpinalSync is a spinal therapy system built around computerised biosensor mobilisation. Instead of broad manual thrusts, it applies small, targeted impulses to individual spinal segments while sensors read how each segment responds. The system is designed to work with the body's natural frequency ranges, using gentle, repeated impulses to encourage stiff or fixated joints to move again.

Many people live with restricted joints after an old injury, years of desk work, or simple wear and tear. Restricted segments tend to push their workload onto their neighbours, which is one reason discomfort keeps returning to the same areas. SpinalSync gives us a precise, non-invasive way to work on that restriction without twisting or cracking.

How SpinalSync works

The instrument applies controlled, frequency-specific treatment impulses to areas where testing has identified joint dysfunction. Its manufacturer traces the underlying sensor technology to work originally developed in aerospace testing, and the design goal is the same throughout: measure first, then treat only what the readings support.

The thinking behind the frequency matching is straightforward. Every structure has ranges of movement it responds to most readily. When the impulse rate is tuned to the natural oscillation of the joint being treated, less force is needed to encourage movement, which is why the treatment stays gentle enough for most people to find comfortable.

What SpinalSync treatment is designed to address

  • Connective tissue adhesions. After injury or inflammation, layers of tissue can become stuck together and limit movement. The repeated, low-force impulses are designed to work on these adhesions gradually, session by session.
  • Scar tissue. Scar tissue that builds up after injuries or surgery can restrict a joint's range. Treatment targets the affected segments with the aim of restoring smoother movement over time.
  • Muscle symmetry. When a spinal segment stops moving well, the muscles around it adapt unevenly. Treatment aims to restore more balanced work between the intrinsic and core muscles that support posture and stability.

These are aims of the treatment process, not guarantees. Progress differs between people, which is exactly why the system re-tests at each visit instead of assuming.

The idea behind it

The principle comes from frequency-based oscillation, the same phenomenon engineers account for in bridges and other structures. Certain frequencies set a structure oscillating far more readily than others. SpinalSync applies that idea to spinal joints: when the treatment impulse is matched to the natural frequency of the region being treated, the tissue responds to a much gentler input.

Natural frequency ranges in the body

The system's manufacturer publishes approximate natural frequency ranges for different regions of the body, and the instrument's protocols are built around them:

  • Whole body: 5 Hz
  • Head: 8 to 12 Hz
  • Torso: 7 to 13 Hz
  • Thoracic cavity: 4 to 6 Hz
  • Abdominal cavity: 6 to 9 Hz
  • Spine: 10 to 12 Hz
  • Pelvic girdle: 6 Hz

These figures come from the manufacturer's own material, SpinalSync, rather than from independent clinical research. In practice, treatment is always guided by what the biosensor readings show for your spine on the day, not by a table.

One connected system

Beyond individual joints, the aim of care is synchronised movement between the spine and the musculature around it, with each region supporting the others rather than compensating for them. That is also why we treat the readings, not just the sore spot: the segment that hurts is often the one working overtime for a stiff neighbour.
